Our Next Journal Question

image What are your earliest memories of church? I remember standing up in front singing a solo with Mom at the piano at Hoosick Falls church.  I don’t remember what I sang but I know I was five.  I also remember sitting in the front pew with the pastor’s son and he was talking with me.  We got a scolding afterwards by the Pastor and Mom said I couldn’t sit with him anymore.  It was my fault! I couldn’t be rude and not respond to his son but I couldn’t be rude to the pastor and talk!  Not fair!  It was a good thing to have to sit with Mom and Dad.  I remember Sunday School at Gospel Lighthouse in the basement.  I remember sleeping under the pews many nights as we were always in church for every meeting.

What do you remember?

I remember singing hymns. I also got in trouble with Rachel for fooling around. I also remember Sunday school when Esther and Roy Marshal taught it. I received a nice prize for learning a bunch of verses. I remember when mom left one of us under the pew sleeping.
